Wellington International Club
If you are new to Glasgow YOU are specially invited to the
INTERNATIONAL WELCOME CLUB barbeque (BBQ)
Mugdock Country Park on Saturday 28 August 2010.
We leave from the Southpark Avenue door to Wellington Church G12 at 11am.
Phone Heather on 0141 339 7413 or email Grace on: newsdesk@localnewsglasgow.co.uk as we need to know numbers to organise food and ensure there are enough cars to transport everyone.
The BBQ is FREE and so is the transport.
This is a relaxed and informal way to meet new friends and become familiar with this wonderful city. The Club organisers and supporters are all resident in Glasgow and can answer most questions or queries. And if they don't know the answer to help you, they'll almost certainly know someone who does!
Should you be marking Ramadan, come along for the chance to meet new people who can help you settle into the city. You can avoid the food and enjoy lovely walks in Mugdock Country Park (check their website). There are lots of wild life, flora and fauna worth seeing.
The outing is the last of the summer programme of the INTERNATIONAL WELCOME CLUB.
But it marks the launch of the AUTUMN programme which will be available on the day.
From FRIDAY 3 September through till the end of December, the CLUB MEETS every Friday at 7.30pm in Wellington Church Hall, 77 Southpark Avenue, Glasgow G12
7.30pm till 9.30pm.
Anyone from anywhere is WELCOME!
Come and find new friends.

General Election 2010
From Craig Lancaster:
Dear West End ACTS members,
Just to remind you of our next event to be held in Kelvinside Hillhead Church at 7.30pm on Wednesday 5th May. After the huge success of our Hustings, for which we must thank Norman Shanks and the congregation of Hillhead Baptist Church, there is now an opportunity to meet on the eve of the election for some Pre-election Reflection. This short act of worship will allow us to join together and bring our country, it's people and politicians before God.
Please do advertise this as widely as you feel able.
With thanks,
Craig
